These pricking irons are unlike what you can commonly find else where. Although You could argue that matte black pricking irons or pricking irons with a hollow cut out on the handle isn't uncommon. However, where my irons truly shine is with every precaution I take to accentuate the fundamentals.

About the sharpening

Why is it Matte Black?!
The matte black finish is achieved through Quench Polish Quench (QPQ). Unlike commonly seen coated, chemical treated or electroplated finishes, QPQ is a case hardening method that increases corrosion resistance and surface hardness of the native material, not only it is pretty to look at and hold, it actually serves a purpose! Also happens to be damn expensive too :(
I have some sinabroks round hole punch and wanted to make the move to French pricking irons for smaller goods. I looked around and found a lot of recommendations for JunLin tools. I am very impressed with these irons, they are nicely balanced and are super sharp. I have no regrets other than wishing I had enough money to purchase the other sizes. Also customer service is amazing!
