Getting the rack for the creaser tips was the right thing to do. The tips might easily have been damaged without it on my workbench.

For some reason (perhaps other beginners will understand) I have never been able to skive leather with any confidence or accuracy until I got this knife. It is a pleasure to use and a genuine relief to find I can skive edges effectively and reliably.
