FNR Creasing tips
FNR Creasing tips
FN creasing tips are most commonly used to create a gentle crease, while rounding over the sharp edges on leather. The strongest advantage FNR tips have over FN tips is that FNR tips allows you to crease the insides of gussets, and also navigate around rounded corners. However, FNR tips, being rounded, have a lower contact surface area with the leather, reducing the amount of control you have on them, and they wouldn't be the best option for creasing straight flat edges.
Also note that the FNR3 tips profile is slightly flatter than the FNC3 and FN3, this is for good reasons, the flatter profile will allow it to handle curves on bags better.
I partnered with a talented machinist in 2021 to design these FN tips, tuning the groove profile to deliver precisely what I am looking for, while taking heavy inspiration from Regad.
Model | Crease Line Distance | Application |
---|---|---|

FNR2 | 1mm | Wallets and Bags |

Tapered Nut
Short circuit is a common issue in electric creasers. I have narrowed down one of the causes. The steel center rod that goes through the brass body of the creasing tip can misalign and bend slightly with constant use, especially with high pressure. The two brass nuts used in common electric creaser tips are cylindrical and a little too close for comfort to the internal walls of the creasing handle screw mount. A slight misalignment can cause the cylindrical brass nut to touch both the cathode and anode at the same time, sending your machine to an early grave.
This is my solution:
Custom manufactured tapered nut made from steel.
Feels and looks substantial. Love that there's real care and attention being paid to each item.
